does anyone know what I can do to produce more milk? I used to be able to pump up to 4 ounces.. know I only pump 2.. she's only 2 weeks old idk why my boobs stopped:/ I need help. .. 👶😧👎🍼 I don't want to use formula either. ..
The Honest Company makes a vitamin to help called Lactation Boost. you take it twice a day, I only take it once a day and can tell a difference
I promise, if you stop relying on the pump and instead trust in your body and baby to do the job they're meant to do, you have a far higher chance of succeeding!!!
If you really wanna increase that supply the best you can do is out the baby to the breast instead of pumping....I say this because your baby is better at extracting as much milk as possible compared to a pump, and the more baby feeds, the more it tells you body to keep producing. You gotta feed on demand often, and allow the baby to feed as long as it wants to! The way you will know if baby is getting enough milk is 1. Your baby will be satisfied 2. Baby will be peeing at least 6 times per day and 3. Baby will be gaining weight appropriately at all his or her wellness check ups! The best way to do it is feed on one side until the baby unlatches, burp, then offer the other breast. It's not a big deal if baby doesn't want the second breast, it just means it got enough from the first breast! Next feed, start with the second breast you used last feed, and do the same thing, wait for baby to pop off, burp, offer other breast....you baby is an individual and may feed for 5 to 10 mins and be done, or may want to feed for an hour, be done for a while, then feed again! It also depends on if the baby is going through a growth spurt, baby will want to be at the breast CONSTANTLY. This does NOT mean you're not producing enough, just that the baby is increasing your supply by feeding more! Keep to those 3 golden rules I gave you to see if you're producing enough, and ignore comments from others "is she getting enough?" or anything like that! Happy baby+plenty of wet diapers+weight gain=Breastfeeding SUCCESS! Also remember to drink lots of water, and take care of yourself nutritionally! I can't stress enough the importance of feeding often on the breast rather than pumping, a lot of moms lose their supply because they are relying on pumping to tell them how much they are making, when in reality a pump can't even do that because the baby is FAR more efficient at getting milk than a pump, and also the breast is not meant to STORE milk, it is built to produce milk as baby feeds! Get that oxytocin flowing and them let downs going! If you have any questions let me know, I've been through latch issues, lip tie, cluster feed after cluster feed and we're 4 months strong with exclusive breastfeeding, not one bottle!!! Don't doubt yourself or give up, I know you can do it!!!
like who's milk? mine or is that a thing sorry just new at this @theirmommy_2
4 TN oz from each or total? if its ech you have an oversupply. There's no need to increase unless you want to make a stash.
