Have an appointment to see how much baby girl weighs. Hopefully not too much cause the last two weeks my sugars haven't been too controlled. Then we get to talk about my option's birth wise since I've been 5CM for a week now and they don't want me to go into labor at home because of strep b. Praying for good news!
@aphrodite2014, my doctor's told me that, and that's why I'm trying to be perfect with my numbers, but I'm more stressing and killing myself over it. but I don't want anything to go wrong. I constantly stress over those stupid numbers
@jessiethelesbiann, okay yeah that's not bad.. the most common problem I've seen with a baby from a diabetic mom is baby not being able to control their blood sugars initially. we've had quite a few babies end up in the nicu for help stabilizing blood sugars from a diabetic mom.
@thehowtohippie, thank you, I'm trying not to stress about weight because I heard that it could be wrong. It's scary though Lol
Ultrasounds average 20% off in either direction. (That's about 2 pounds)
@aphrodite2014, I am on medication but me saying not under control for me means that 1-2 times a day I am about 10-15 points over my goal which I try to be perfect with but my doctor's aren't concerned because of the fact that it's so low. I've been scared about her having problems but have been reassured that she is fine and that nobody is perfect. Also I heard about them being off with weight but I would be scared if they said she's 10 lbs right now Lol I really don't want the ultrasound because I Dont want to be scared but having diabetes they want to make sure her fluids and placenta are okay.
@jessiethelesbiann, yeah honestly even if you do control your numbers baby could still end up needing help. but honestly it's not a hard thing to fix.. the nicu is scary for parents without a doubt, but I'd just focus on keeping your numbers within your range but 10-15 points here and there isn't a huge change people can drop that amount of point within minutes.
