I also had to have an emergency cerclage placed doc said if I didn't I was in danger of delivering at 18 weeks but baby wouldn't survive. I was told not to lift anything over 5 pounds but other than that Don't limit yourself on what you think you can or cant do I didn't restrict myself from any activities only bad thing about it is your restricted from having sex the whole pregnancy but you will be OK don't limit yourself because you will just stress yourself out it'll be OK @ashleidhanyielle04282016

@krich127, I just got an emergency cerlage but in the day before yesterday and the Dr said no bed rest but I'm afraid that it will tear.

I had the cerclage done at 17 weeks, had the stitches removed at 36 weeks and ended up delivering my daughter at 39 weeks she's now 1 month old @ashleidhanyielle04282016

my best friend had a permanent cerclage put in during her 13th week of pregnancy. she was NOT put on any bed rest and she just delivered her baby at 37 weeks
