is queso bad during pregnancy? going to mexican after the movies and really want queso... says its a soft cheese which can lead to miscarriage. I'm almost 15 weeks

not sure of the correct answer to this however I've been eating it all during my pregnancy. I never thought of it as a soft cheese.

Soft cheeses like Brie and bleu cheese that are unpasteurized are what's dangerous. Most commercially manufactured cheeses are pasteurized and just fine. If you're at a restaurant you can always ask if their cheeses are pasteurized to be safe

white queso is bad for you. regular queso is okay. the white queso is unpasteurized cheese.

No chili con queso is safe it's only queso fresco isn't. But I'm sure you don't eat that.
