I am 38 weeks.. contractions on avg of 4 mins & 58secs. my water has not broke but for the last two hours I've been having pressure in my vaginal area (throbbing too) and back pain on left side. I'm a ftm and don't want to go into the er if they are just going to send me home. Monday I was checked and was not dialated.. I don't want to go in for no reason. so question is what do y'all think I should do?

and the contractions are not painful at all just the pressure down below is getting really uncomfortable.

the SAME thing has been happening to me since Wednesday at 1:30..
I went in, still 1 cm and 50%. my contractions are 5 mins apart
my doctor told me to call if they were five minutes apart and painful so it never hurts to get checked
well if your contractions are that close. I would call L&D. sounds like your in early labor. better be safe then sorry.
try walking around or taking a warm bath or shower see if that helps the pain.

I think you should go in. That's how I was. I had went in on a Friday at 39 weeks and I was not dilated at all, and 5 days later I went in because I was having contractions and I was dilated to a five and had her that evening!
I would personally go in. I went to the dr on a Friday & wasn't dilated at all, went in labor the following Thursday & delivered Friday morning. You can dilate very quickly. My water never broke either & I never lost my mucus plug.
Id go in just to be safe
