Is it true that you should avoid lunch meat while trying to concieve or when you are pregnant? Starting next week I need to start packing myself a lunch everyday and was considering lunch meat since it's easy. Is it okay in moderation?

The bacteria found on some lunchmeat is called Listeria. You can look it up, it should help you find risks and what you should do to avoid the bacteria. americanpregnancy.org has good info on it.

for the health of your baby I would still heat it.. it's part of the packet they give you at the beginning of pregnancy.

if your really worried pepperoni and salami are cooked its that there is a bacteria that could be harmful to baby you can also do what @dclary1989 said but if the sandwich meat comes cooked it should be fine
