Anyone have luck with a membrane sweep ?

This may sound so dumb but what is it? I've seen so many posts about it and how painful/uncomfortable it can be but I'm still unsure of what it is lol @katier

its pretty much where they separate the sides of your cervix from the amniotic sac to help speed things up @babygirlforever

@babygirlforever, it's when your doctor pretty much try's to start labor by taking there finger and with out breaking your water detaches it from your cervix

when does this. get done usually what week

@addied1, usually at 40wks but I asked for it at 39 and they did it @mrsglover21 oh I hope I go into labor today I had it done yesterday afternoon

I had mine done twice. First time nothing but the second time started having contractions immediately after. Had my baby later that day.

it was a life saver and I went in labor that night. Not painful at all. it felt like getting a pap

I did I went into labor 7 hours after mine I also used evening primrose oil pills

It worked for me :) I'm here now

it didn't work on me I had my baby at 41 weeks & 1 day I had to be induce
