@nini2015, its normal to be worried, do what you feel comfortable, I was comfortable enough to go home the very next day, and drive 5 days later, I also pushed myself way to hard around the house so naturally I was worried about the same thing
That is good you had time to relax and heal! I had him Thursday at 2:48am and they released me to go home Saturday at 11, so I wasn't there very long to heal. And now that I'm home I push myself I feel like and don't want to hurt myself @kimberlyyyy
They make me doze off a tiny bit as well @kcamps it does the same. Then I wake up all worried especially if I'm holding him. I'm going to try to pull myself off it this weekend
5 days after my c-section I drove, carried my sons carseat as well, had to get my staples removed and I had no choice, I also took zero pain meds in hospital and after. They really dont want you to drive only because of the seat belt, if you were to get in an accident it would tighten to your belly, and of course if you are on the pain meds
I hated how they were making me feel. I took the normal strength Tylenol- it had codone (?) but it didn't do anything for pain, but I didn't want the norcos. All the shit I went through prior to my emergency c section was more painful than recovery itself. My circumstances were different though- I didn't have to get up and walk as much as a post-delivery mom because my baby was in the nicu, so I had more time to "relax" and heal.
I had to take myself off of them too by like my second day because they made me feel loopy. I would be randomly holding my son then all of the sudden I'd just doze off and then get freaked out and wake up. They had me on Percocet, it was terrible. I just took ibuprofen after
Why did you take yourself off the pain meds? Did you feel thatgood?! If so props to you!!! I feel so much better with the meds, it just gives me a relief @kimberlyyyy
2 weeks. My discharge paperwork said 2 weeks & I had taken myself off the pain pills by day 3 after my c section. It wasn't too bad. I drove from home to the hospital my baby was at 2 hours away from home.
Yes I was told the heavier than baby but no times on for how long so was just curious! I don't want to push myself, I'm going insane being at home too lol
Well my doctor told me that you aren't suppose to drive, or carry anything that's heavier than your baby. Well I had to drive because I had family in town and what not, that was a week after I had my c-section. Carrying things though I waited until I saw my doctor at my 6 weeks checkup and I was given the okay. Wait until then Because you can do some serious damage if you are carrying something heavy and something tears that isn't healed, it could cause serious complications!
