had 3 waffles at 11, a big plate of pasta at 330, a slice of pizza and 5 boneless wings at 445, and it's now 540 and I'm starved again to the point that my stomach is growling!!! is it normal to be THIS HUNGRY at 23 weeks? I'm worried about gestational diabetes/gaining too much weight since I'm on modified bed rest and can't exercise other than light walking.
my dietician told me just to watch my carb intake and look at nothing else. I heard outside of my dietician that protein slows the absorption so maybe that would be something to research. she did say that the morning is when your glucose Is craziest so don't have cereals or breads in the morning just proteins
@jashmen, thank you!! my test is on January 18th, and I know I eat ALOT of carbs but idk what to eat during the day that's high in protein besides peanut butter and I'm currently having aversions to it 😔 I used to eat tuna like crazy for my daily protein but everyone keeps telling me that it's not safe to eat every day while pregnant so I only have it once a week now. I try to drink a lot of milk and eat eggs with breakfast when I can. do you think maybe I should drink protein shakes in the afternoon?
make sure you eat your protein to help slow the digestion of all those carbs. I have gd and hunger pangs from too many carbs are a symptom excessive thirst peeing a lot. I see you're 23 weeks just make sure they do your test at your next appt!! it's really manageable and easy to deal with and you don't even know if you have it! you might not even have it don't worry just get tested girl you'll be fine 😘😜
