I am so glad I read this. I work @ Claire's and I pierce ears all day and I was contemplating on getting another but now I know its a no no.

no tattoos during pregnancy, most artists will refuse to tattoo you during pregnancy anyway but I have never heard of not getting a tattoo while breastfeeding....that seems silly.

I got three tattoos two before first pregnancy then one when my son was like a yr old. I would avoid getting tattoos and/or piercing during pregnancy because it at a increased risked of infection

No, you are suppose to wait til you aren't breastfeeding any longer cause it can cause a greater chance of infection that can pass to your baby.

your not supposed to get tattooed while your pregnant or breastfeeding, it's not good for the baby

my hubs and I alternate on getting tattoos, I had our son last Halloween, and a few weeks ago I found out I'm pregnant with our third, I also BF our son for 11 months...needless to say its been my turn for SO long lol, but he will get a couple before I start getting them again lol.

@jujulove13, my whole thigh piece is in that style and thats the style of the one im gettin for my girl. sadly i have to wait till mid june before any ink gets under my skin again

Yes! I actually ended up getting a huge piece on my leg when I was a month pregnant. Had no clue I was even pregnant either but ever since I found out I have a tattoo in mind for my daughter that I wanna get on my foot as soon as I have her. Lol & a bunch of other ideas.
