13 with my first, 11 with my second from my actual doctor. They usually wait until closer to the 2cd trimester for whatever reason. At least that's what they told me.
9w to determine if the pregnancy was viable. Another at 12w as part of a genetic screening. Then I get one at 20w for the anatomy but I already know it's a boy but she said they're still gonna do it to make sure baby is growing properly
You should at least have one before then , and technically they don't do one to determine the gender what they do is called the anatomy scan where they gets images of like vital organs and other things and that's mainly for everyone you can ask the tech of they can see the gender and it's possible if the baby is in a good position but if not then they won't tell you I went to an outside ultrasound place and they told me at 13 weeks in lucky I found out there because my little girl did not want to show us at our anatomy scan
I have made another appointment with another office I just wanted to make sure they was not all that way
@mommytobeaugust, fuck that! That's their fucking opinion! You want to know the gender of your baby , you demand it! They are suppose to do an ultrasound to make sure the baby is developing at a good rate and that they don't have any deformities forming and get tested for certain abnormalities. That doctors office is incompetent. Find a new one stat!
I'm just alittle upset about it becuase things did not go well my last pregnancy.
they used to give a lot of ultra s sounds but now insurance companies want you to only have one if its medically necessary
is it normal not to have one til 20 plus weeks ? my doctor told me today they won't even do one to determine gender because its not important
What would you do with $25,000
If you received an extra $25,000. What would you do with it? ?
