Got to have an Anti-D injection at hospital next week? Anyone else had one of these?😫

I had to have an Anti-D injection with my daughter. 😊

Pain in arse that I've got to travel all the way to the hospital for an injection, but as long as it keeps my princess happy I don't mind:))xx

I have a rare blood type, that's the reason you get it done. you shouldn't have to have one for every pregnancy but it depends on the person! @jordan1410 no it doesn't hurt but obviously that my opinion!xx

see when i had mine just before christmas, the needle itself didn't hurt but i had a bit of a dead arm for about 2 mins afterwards. the injection basically protects baby's blood from your blood. if baby has a positive blood type and it mixes with yours at some point in either pregnancy or labour, your blood produces antibodies which will attack baby's blood and make them anemic, amongst other things. @jordan1410 x

if you're resuscitation negative you will need it for every pregnancy as that is always going to be your blood type. I've had it for mall of mine and will have the injection this time at 28 weeks.

I had to have it due to having the rarest blood type in England, and at one point the rarest in the world. doesn't hurt at all x
