Thank you! @mimiz @quansmom2016 Makes me feel so much better. I just went and got accepted and they gave me the card to get milk and what not. My friend was really judgmental about it, and it got to me.
I'm on it, and I hate to complain about free things, but it's worth it but at the same time not. A lot of people won't use it just because of the hassle of it at stores and the appointments. I hate going to the WIC office, but that may just be because of where I live. Also, the food they "allow" you to have is so picky, and the stores either don't have it, or otherwise. I'm constantly putting things back t the register because it didn't take. And they are never up to date with their signs of eligible WIC items and the staff act like they have zero idea what you're talking about when you ask. again, could also be just where I live. BUT the formula and baby food was/is a giant help. So I'm not trying to complain because I should be grateful, but a lot of the system is flawed and people act like they don't care to help.
extremely helpful. formula itself is like 12$ a can at the walmart where i live. and its the cheapest. my daughter went through almost two a week. which ended up adding up to a little over 60$ a month
WIC helps a lot I didn't wanna get on it but my MIL and SIL talked with me and told me how much it helps and it really does so I swallowed my pride and applied and it saves me 200$-250$ a month on baby food and formula
wic helps so much. Even before the baby comes they ensure your eating healthy. I only go to which once every 3-4 months the appointments are no hassle at all
but with all that crap I said, it's definitely helpful for things, and if you have a store that helps when you're stuck, I honestly think it's just my stores that suck. 😂 And don't let anyone make you feel bad for using it, I was the same way, but not paying for formula at $15 a can is helpful. If you need the help, you need it. no one can say otherwise.
It's a huge help. I don't qualify because we make too much in our household, but u don't have to let people know ur on it. It's ur business. Forget what others say. I was on it with my first and it helped tremendously
