When will this phase end: my son will throw big tantrum every time I pick him up anywhere... like I know he's fine but soon as he sees me and I pick him up...I set him down for a second he starts throwing a tantrum. CRYING AND CRYING and I put his coat on and hat...we get to the door. He's absolutely fine saying "bye bye" to everyone.
That's how old he is now. Almost 18 months. I work a lot too but not as much for him to act like that. @eternalsunshine4 Thank you.
I went through that with my youngest (he is 3 now). Giving him a "heads up", like ok we have five more minutes until it's time to clean up, and then ok time to clean up and then we are getting our shoes on to go to the car, etc. Transitioning was hard for him when he was about 1.5 years old. I don't know if this helps, but I feel your pain! It will get better.
@xaviersmamax3 when my son went through that, my husband and I were separated and I was getting over a debilitating illness. Babies are really sensitive to change and can sense every little thing. Since realizing object permanence, he is probably just missing his momma. Don't worry! It will get better. I talked to my pediatrician about it and she had some very sound advice. I recommend speaking to his doc. 😊
