I don't get why my baby feeds for long periods of time at night !!! I'm so exhausted and so close to giving up .

awe. :( darn! maybe once hes bigger. uhhm lay down on your back and put his belly on you yours and let him nurse laying on you? if that makes sense. hang in there itll get better

you should try it. it was a life saver. I just latch him.and go back to sleep while he nurses.

Have you tried a pacifier? Sounds like maybe he just needs to suck.

Push through! It gets better and it's so worth it. The best nutrition that you can give. :) I agree with feeding while laying on your side!

Some days and nights feel like baby just wants to eat ALL THE TIME. Like one giant, continuous feed all night lol

You got this, mama! Side lying helps, if you can't sleep through the feed (like me) you can at least sleep between feeds easier that way because you don't have to try and get up and put baby down just to have baby wake up screaming lol definitely sounds like a growth spurt!

do you nurse laying down cradling baby?

@hellosweetie, okay I sure will :) & I'm just gonna try to bare with the lack of sleep , and having him eat every two hours or less

idk if its an option for you but maybe try safe cosleeping? saved my breastfeeding relationship when my son was that age. hes now almost 8 months and still breastfeeding and cosleeping.

Anytime :) hmu if you ever need to talk and vent! And remember, if it doesn't work out and you need to supplement or switch to formula, it's not the end of the world. I have a friend who gave in after a week because she couldn't bond with the pain from her nipples and there is absolutely no judgement from me even though I haven't gone the formula route!!!!

Sorry, also....they feed for long periods a lot for comfort, especially when they're so young they really need mommy's love and comfort cuz the outside world is scary! I swear it really does get better! You lo will hit a point where it can sleep for linger periods and it'll be so much easier :)

4 months pp and I can't tell you how many times I yelled to hubby please just get me some formula I give up!!! But with his love and support I didn't.....trust me, you can do it!!! Baby is most likely going through a growth spurt and trying to increase your supply to match its needs....it's rough, but it won't last long, promise!!!
