I have breast implants — will I be able to breastfeed?

I believe you'll be able to breastfeed with implants, && not everyone leaks during pregnancy.

Yes, not everyone leaks during pregnancy....you will never know how much you produce until after the baby is born, and your milk comes in 3 to 5 days later....right now all you would have is colostrum, it's not much but just right for a newborn! I would tell your doctor and pediatrician your situation, and you can ask to come in to weigh the baby weekly to keep an eye on weight gain and make sure you're producing enough...just feed in demand, as much as possible...lots of water! I hear some women may have problems if too much of the breast tissue was removed or if some of the milk glands were severed/removed, but best way to know is to just try! I wish you all the luck in your journey, you got this mama! And remember, breast is best but there is NOTHING wrong with using formula either! No shame 😁

@mommy3, I have silicone implants that are under the muscle and can breastfeed. I never leaked either. my LO is 8 weeks old and never had formula. my nipple sensation is different since the surgery but we've not had any problems. best of luck!
