I need help to all the mommies. Please don't judge me. I've been in a very complicated situation. My bf and I have been trying to get pregnant. My last normal PM was October 4th. I spotted twice since then each time lasting about a week. Very light. I took a bunch of negative tests including both home and blood tests. I had an ultrasound Dec 2nd came back normal. Took another negative blood pregnancy test dec 7th. My relationship started going down hill through ptsd, anxiety, career change etc....I broke up with him and went out Saturday Dec 12th got drunk and hooked up with a buddy. The following weekend I felt exhausted and my nipples felt tinggly so I took a home pregnancy test and it was postive. Took 3 more positive pregnant tests. This was Saturday Dec 19th. Got a blood test the following Monday. Doc said I'm definitely pregnant. Sounded like I had lots of hormones. Is it possible it could be my buddies... I'm freaking out.

Yeah it's possible. It takes around 2-3 weeks for pregnancy hormones to show a positive on a test. It's a close call. Youll

It seems real quick to get a positive result from having sex on the 12th, but it's possible. That's a difficult spot to be in.

ask if they can do an estimate the day you got pregnant. that's what I did

Once you do your dating scan they can give you a better estimate of when you conceived but I wouldn't think it would be positive after just a week, I would think it would be your exes depending on the last time you were intimate.

@lilmum, it is almost impossible to have that happen so quick. honestly I doubt its your buddy's. it doesn't happen within a week. I know that. you can't get a positive test a week into a pregnancy no matter when your period is since some people are irregular. 1 week in there is no way to really know you are pregnant. positive home tests are less sensitive than blood tests. I got a blood test 3 weeks into being pregnant (which I didn't know) had no idea it would come back positive. didn't even miss my period yet. my OB said a home test wouldn't have shown it.
