@marinewife, no that's fine. Lol. As nurses we don't like taking medication period. My thing is having him vaginal also. Prayer more than anything that I won't need a c section. Hence the reason I am weary of being induced cause of the possibility of having one. My wish is to have a natural birth with no meds. I prayer and ask god to grant me that favor. Fingers crossed

Well I'm not a nurse but I hear some nurses are against pain meds and some are annoyed by people that don't want pain meds . I personally do not want pain meds but I know we can't always get what we want if for any reason my blood pressure is really high because of the pain I will opt to get pain meds because I wouldn't want to risk not being able to have my baby vaginally . But with that being said as long as I can't deliver him vaginally and with only iv meds or gas and air cause I am terrified of a epidural I'm fine but again I would like a natural birth.

@marinewife, to be truthful im going in with an open mind. As part of my birthing plan I want to feel what the pain is like for a few hours and then if unbearable before 5cm I need the epidural. Im not that great with pain. What would you want?

Being that you are a nurse how do you feel about pain meds during labor , will you be using any?
