Not pregnancy related.. So last month our electricity bill was $250 and I figured it was that much because we left the heat on the whole month. This month it's the same and we didn't turn the heat or air on at all the whole month. I don't understand how it's that much if we hardly use the electricity 😣😠😒

@mommaree213, I'm the same way! But the electric company swears they check it and I'm just using too much. Ugh it's annoying. They're sending me a letter that shows my daily usage

i dont think they are checking my meter either. i wash all my clothes in cold water now, except I do towels on hot and I dont wash clothes or run the dishwasher until I have to. I dont use electric heaters or air conditioners anymore, my heat works without electricity. There is no way my bill should be pushing and extending over $200 every month. There is no way they are checking the meter and I do not appreciate it.
See I've decreased on all of that just so our bill wouldn't be as high. They must not have checked our meter because I know we didn't use as much as they say 😣 the first month we were here the bill was only $80 and that was October @mommaree213
I'm in the same boat as you, but if you wash your clothes with hot or warm water in the washer, have a dishwasher and take many hot showers, then those are times the hot water heater has to heat up and use a fairly good amount of electricity. But I still dont see how that would cause it to be so high, but that's the only thing I can figure for mine.
That's so wrong 😕 @their.bomb.ass.mom
My husband is going to call them. He takes care of all the dirty work lol @kandra_baby.kuhn
usually electric companies only check the meter every few months, the other months the just figure the average of what you'd use. So it's possible they checked it a month when you used a lot, and then averaged that you would use that much this month as well.
you can always call the Electric Company and ask what's been using what and why its so high. they're tell you! @mommaheathco
@kandra_baby.kuhn, I turned it down to warm just in case
ohhh I'm not sure then:/ @mommaheathco
Our hot water is gas. Would that still contribute? @kandra_baby.kuhn
that plays a huge factor in it
how high is your hot water tank set on?
