hey mamas, I've been exclusively pumping I nurse a couple times a day but I pump every 3 to 4 hours. but when it comes close to the time that I need to pump again I get a stinging and sharp shooting pain in both nipples. it comes and goes.. it's gotten to be less lately but I'm still confused as to what it is? anyone else experience this?

You can get a let down before feeding to. That's why you can leak a lot and have a let down when a baby cries. My let downs happen more during feeding now but what she describes is a let down and I use to get them a lot to before feeding. It's just you milk coming to the nipple and your not always feeding. @thehowtohippie

it's like right when the 3rd hour hits and I have to pump I'll get the pain. I've been trying to research it but not sure what it could be. @preggerstone @thehowtohippie

@preggerstone, that's not a let down if she hasn't started pumping or nursing yet
