I just had my son six days ago! I have been pumping since we got home! how many times a day is a good number to pump? or should I pump when my breast or sore?

he doesn't want to nurse most the time only sometimes!  I had surgery right after in had him so.they started him with a bottle now he rather use the bottle

Why do you pump may I ask? Like stated above you are at risk for over supply which cause clog ducts and mastitis. It is recommended to wait 6 weeks to pump so your supply is regulated. :) good luck!

@truckerswife, I pump twice a day, I pumped daily for a few weeks then went to twice a day. My little guy is 7 weeks :)
