sometimes I feel like this is all just a dream or like my body is playing tricks on me. no matter how many times I've heard the heart beat or seen him on an ultrasound I still feel like I'm dreaming

Same here! I never even thought I'd be able to experience this and now that I am, I hope it's not a dream every day that I wake up.

Yes ! or you wake up completely forgetting about it and then see yourself in a mirror or look down "at your feet" and it's like "oh hello I forgot you were there"
