How do I go about getting a breast pump through my insurance..?? I'm alil confused and not sure where to start

@pinkhearts1990, I used a company called Aeroflow. Just go to their website put in insurance info and OB info and they contact both parties and let you know what you qualify for

when I was at the hospital, after giving birth, the lactation consultant talked to me (routine). after I told her my insurance, she informed me that the hospital had breast pumps through my insurance. so I said I'd take it. insurance covered all costs and I got it before being discharged.

I just called my insurance and they said that once the baby is born my doctor has to write a prescription for the pump and then someone can go pick it up from the medical supply place. Some insurances will allow you to order through them prior to baby arrival.

I'd start by calling your insurance but I'm interested to know myself.
