Is anyone else dealing with a SO who is away a lot for work with a new baby? My beautiful daughter is a month old and my SO is a six hour drive away for work and has to work most weekends, I'm trying hard to keep things together for her but I find it difficult on my own, anyone else dealing with this sort of problem?

Yeah I watch a lot of netflix too, my husband is a contractor for the railroad and he is a 6 hour drive away and has to work weekends a lot so even with him getting time off for christmas I'll only get 6 days with him this December. I just find myself overwhelmed with lonliness sometimes, most of my friends havent wanted to spend time with me since the baby and my parents are gone. I'm just not sure how to handle it sometimes

When I was pregnant my husband got a job in construction. At first he had to leave at 6, and got home at 7. then it went to 4 and get home at 9 after our daughter was born. He got to take off one day and that was it. Shortly after, he decided to just stay out of town Monday through Friday. It sucked and I was lonely because I had no friends or family to visit with. I watched a lot of TV series on Netflix and just cherished every moment he was able to be home.
