Question: My boyfriend has 3 teenagers and he has them 50% of the time. Do you think that its wrong to request that they not be at our house for the first couple of weeks after baby is born? Of course they can come by and see the baby and all of that, but all 3 of them at once is too much for me sometimes now let alone when I have my first little one home for the first time. I would do the same thing. I'm considering asking my mom to not bring my nephew to the house, after the baby is born, when she babysits him. all he does is scream and cry because she tries to force him to take a nap when he doesn't want to and it frustrates and stresses me out.

and it's not rude if you're still allowing them to come over and see the baby. you're not excluding them. you're simply asking for a little time to recover after the babys born

Look don't let any1 make you feel bad for what you feel you need to do..your going to have a brand new babi your a first time mom, if your husband don't like the idea maybe he can handle the kids

I personally think it's wrong... they are his kids too.. and if they were also yours you couldn't just ship them away because you want time to adjust to the new baby... just my personal opinion.

I'm sure their mother and your man will completely understand. their mother has been in the same boat as you and your man kind of has too with being a father

Not wrong. It's not like you're banning them from the house. Plus if you don't have to worry about anything else but baby, why not?

I think it's a great idea, you need an adjust period and like you said the kids can come by and see the baby

not at all. my husband has 2 sons that we have 50% of the time and I am asking their mother for the same. I need time to adjust.
