Well the longer you stay at work while being pregnant...the longer you can have for maternity leave. My teacher in school worked up until the day she was due...we all thought she was mad lol! 😂😂 You can take it anytime though..Maternity pay isn't always that great though. Um you can tell your boss whenever. :) If they try and ship you out of your job...that's illegal and you can build up a case against them. xx xx

You give them a date! don't let them tell you when. I started mine 28th Nov but I had holidays to take my offical date is 21st Dec! x

You legally have to tell them by the 25th week to qualify for maternity pay. You can give them a date and then change it if need be x

You legally have to tell them 15 weeks before your due date. so 25 weeks. Which is when your midwife will give you the matb1 form that your hr will need to see. You have to finalise a date then i dont think you're actually allowed to start your leave before 11 weeks from your due date. but as for when you want to leave...its up to you. I leave it as late as possible because a)if your baby comes early then it automatically starts anyway do doesn't matter and b) you get more time with your baby after its born. But it just depends on what you're happy and comfortable with
