my braxton hicks contractions with my first son we're painful and regular... to the point I still couldn't tell you the difference between the two I went to the hospital 3 times for.false labor before my actual labor... it never hurts to get checked... even if it just helps calm your nerves... if you go early enough and it's real labor they can try to stop it to keep that baby in as long as possible... I would def call your doc

If your cervix is dilated then you are technically in preterm labor.... Def call your ob at least or go to triage
