is firing someone from their job while pregnant against the law??? i feel like my job is trying to force me to quit..

If they fire you because you're pregnant then yes that's against the law, but if they want you gone they will probably come up with some other bullshit excuse to fire you. My job did this with my first pregnancy.

Maybe a possible discrimination.

do not quit . don't give them what they want. they can't just fire you because your pregnant.

probably their way of getting you out because you're pregnant. firing because of pregnancy is against the law but a lot of places will come up with other reasons why so they don't get sued for discrimination

I'm the type of person were I'll love my job but the min people start acting dumb or making me uncomfortable in the workplace "especially pregnant" my ass walks right outta there. I get new jobs just fine ;not that I would recommend you do; lol. I have a problem with 'working for the man' as it is. (eventually i said f'It!! and started my own business)

I had terrible pains, not knowing what it's from, either Ovarian Cysts or Endometriosis and I called in cuz I couldn't move. It hurt to stand, it hurt to walk... I could barely sit up. I was out for a week, and my appointment got cancelled and reappointed to the next week. And my boss called me in to tell me that I was THEE most laziest worker that she's ever seen.

(I worked 10 day shifts, longer if they needed me too, for 5 days, even came in on my days off if they needed someone extra. I worked deli, preparing the food, cooking the food, serving the food, and I was the only one in my station while the other station is simple. They throw food in the microwave and put it on display and they had tons of people doing that. I sometimes worked cash register, sometimes helped maintenance if they needed me too. I never had time to take a break. This went on since June. When she said that to me, I threw my shirts on her desk told I Fuckin Quit, I have a medical condition and this is how you're treating me?

They could say its cuz you cant fulfill job duties like standing, lifting 25 pds or something like that.

Yeah it is plus a bad rep for the company so they make you wanna quit or watches your every move to see if you slightly mess up! My job did that and fired me because I was talking to them about a kid and used the word screamed

not if u live in an at will state. if they didn't specifically say it's because ur pregnant nothing u can do.
