@waitingforablessing, very much so, I know I will one day in the future find a guy like my dad. My dad adopted my brothers and loves them as his own! You would never guess that they were not his biologically. So I know one day when the boys are old the right MAN will love them as his own.

my family last name.. idk my father so my last name is out

My oldest sons father is not in the picture, he has my maiden name and the father is not on the birth certificate, all I get is child support from him

I regret naming my son after his sperm donor and giving him his last name... my son is now 7 and his sperm donor hasn't had any contact or anything for 5 years...

@waitingforablessing even though he isn't on their birth certificates he still has to pay child support, if I took him to court which I won't cuz I want nothing from him

@twinmamma2015, yeah my baby daddy has turned into an abusive asshole to me. I don't think we are going to make it as a couple and I don't think he's gonna be in the baby's life either. So now I'm torn

my twins father stayed in the pic so that I gave them his last name and then he left so I'm going through the process of changing their last name to mine

If your not together but he still wants to be a big part of the baby's life, I personally would. However if he's completely out of the picture and wants nothing to do with the baby or little to do, I would give baby mine.

If he isn't in the picture I would not give my baby the last name. If he's in the picture but we aren't together I will still give the baby his last name. And either way I'll put him on the birth certificate because then he will have to pay his portion.
