My baby's umbilical cord is bleeding what do I do ?? 😣

it may take a while, being few more days. as long as its not gushing or dripping blood it's fine. :) if you see it drip then I would go to the Dr.

@benjismom, okay ThAnkyou so much I was just concerned when I saw it bleeding while I was changing her the first time but the blood is already dried up & I sure hope so dr told me it will take a while because she has a "thick belly button" lol

sounds normal if the blood really concerns you clean it with a quick tip dipped in warm water or with a rag.

from what it sounds like its drying up and gonna fall off soon.. a little blood is normal but if it's a lot or the cord is still softish still, then I would call the Dr. I'm sure it's fine. did she seem uncomfortable with it or of you touch it? my sons bled and then fell off the next day, so don't panic if next time you change her it's gone. it's normal, and after it falls off it will probably bleed some more a bit. just dab it a bit with a damp cloth and keep it clean. as for cleaning now, very gently dabbing it won't hurt but don't get the cord too wet, you want it to dry up completely

how old is she?

She's falling back asleep now I will when she gets up any advice is helpful but it's not too much blood just a little bit she had 1 tiny stain on her onesie and has a little blood around the cord I'm not sure if I should wipe it up or just leave it to dry up @benjismom

not being weird just will help with the advice I may be able to give
