So I was reading an article on waiting up to 10 min after baby is born to cut the umbilical cord due to the baby receiving all the necessary blood and nutrients. Has anyone done this? or have any input?

I def want to do this! sometimes the hospitals won't do it & cut it before you can get a word out.. making sure my Dr knows not to touch it until it's done pulsing!

I'm doing this! in my eyes it seems weird to cut something that is pulsing

never heard of that. But do people really remember once baby is born? From pain to excitement because the baby is born. Just wondering. :)

I did it. It's now standard practice at my birth center.

I plan on delaying cord clamping, so many benefits.

My aunt did this with her child... Her child is over 1 year old now and hasn't gotten sick at all.
