I'm due in January and I'm really set on a natural birth. I just not sure what all I should to prepare myself, I've done my reading and what not but still would like to know heat from other moms about your experience. By the way I'm FTM.

My labor was 36 hrs did it all natural stayed home till i knew it was time 90 mins before i gave birth. I went from my tub to my toilet to my bed to nap. It wasn't that bad but not sure I could have done it that natural in the hospital.

I was super afraid of going all natural as well. The breathing exercises and yoga helped a lot with my fiancé getting involved in the process as well. I only had a 6 hour labor and I spent a lot of it at home. when I went in, I was dilated at 8cm and had my baby girl within the hour. I thought I was going to have a horrific labor and it was all in my head. I was completely unable to have any kind of epidural or spinal tab. I also didn't want to have iv pain medication because it's bad for the baby. anyway, if you convince your significant other to take some prenatal yoga with you and some Bradley method class (usually offered by the hospital)

I'm planning on going natural and using hypnobirthing. If you're cool with altered states of consciousness you should be ok... Lol. That's what a friend of mine who has had multiple natural births told me. And don't be afraid :)
