I used the peri bottle my hospital gave me every time I used the bathroom. also sat on a heating pad.

Try squirting the water on you as you pee. You can put some ice cubes in the bottle or keep it in the fridge if you find that more relieving, or you can use warm water. The witch hazel should be helping to heal you quickly so continue using them. There's also a spray that has natural ingredients, it may work for you better than the dermoplast they gave you in the hospital. It's by earth momma Angel baby.

Warm baths help the swelling too. My ob told me warm bath with empsom salt. But I'd just stick with the warm bath to be safe.. Also, the witch hazel pads are supposed to be frozen. You soak your pads in witch hazel and freeze them overnight. Try that. Soft squirt bottles are your best friend. Fill those up with warm water and rinse yourself down there after every bathroom visit. DO NOT WIPE DRY, PAT DRY. Try to buy the thicker toilet paper to avoid getting any stuck down there ;s Be very carful with bending over or squatting, you don't want to pop a stitch and have to have it restitched. If you're breast feeding, your vagina is gonna be very dry for the first few weeks. I would try to keep using the witch hazel pads to help with that dryness ;s don't use anything scented, don't touch the stitches, don't put soap on them. Just rinse with warm water in the shower, but be verrrry gentle. LET. THEM. HEAL. You should be be good in 6 weeks 😊

The squirt bottle is what helped me the most. The pads were ok but I feel like they were only cold for about thirty seconds and it was as if they weren't even there after the cold faded away.

Try ice packs like the first aid kit ones might help

I just used the squirt bottle religiously while I peed, with warm water in it. The only thing that really helped me.

I had my son 2 months ago & I too had stitches. It's going to hurt, & it's going to be very uncomfortable. There's no easier way to put it. Keep using witch hazel and spraying it! It helps in the long run. Trust me! I thought I'd never heal & I did within 2 weeks.

oh yeah i forgot to mention! im not allowed to take ibprophen because of my high blood pressure and they gave me blood thinners in a shot

Ib profouen should help the swelling
