So I've been strictly breastfeeding but was wondering if any breastfeeding moms ever used "similac for breastfeeding moms introducing formula" because tonight me and my boyfriend are going out while my mom watches baby and I can't pump enough for a whole 24 hours since we will be having a few drinks I can't feed her for a full 24 hours & I was wondering if my daughter will still take my boob after taking this formula for a day? Anyone use this or have any idea about this? Would really appreciate some input.
& unfortunately im all the way in Illinois @myangelfaith
mm yangelfaith, why did they test her for marijuana?? I know they do when baby is born but do they do it again??
The rule is safe to drive safe to feed but she might get fussy and gassy and maybe even constipated but be okay
You can breastfeed after drinking :) as soon as you feel okay to drive you're okay to breastfeed. Even having a drink or two doesn't affect your milk :) ссылка
Depends on the baby. Whe. my daughter was born 2 months ago she had to get a bottle of donated milk because they had to drug test her urine for marijuana even tho i quit when i found out i was pregnant. ive been trying to introduce the bottle once a day since she was 4 weeks old and she rarly ever takes it. if you are worried and are close by i can donate some of my milk to you because i have ALOT in my freezer.
@kmally, we will only be 20 minutes away for a few hours just going out for a little bit but I don't want to feed her for 24 hours with breast milk since the alcohol will go to my milk supply & @journeemommy Thankyou that's very reassuring to me i just don't want to have any problems since she's been taking the boob so well
I had to use formula after my daughter was born because I never could make enough milk so after I gave her what I could I used Gerber gentle and it worked great
I'm supplementing with Similac Neosure because my supply is low. She goes from boob to bottle constantly with no problem.
She should be okay for just a day on it and should return to breastfeeding just fine. Even if you're drinking you can breastfeed. And make sure you keep up with pumping while you're away. Not only could your supply drip you'll start getting super uncomfortable. Will you be far away? Or is there a way to drop off what you pump so she's not entirely on formula? Or even pop in to feed her quick? The only thing I could foresee happening is her getting a bit gassy or fussy from the temporary switch.

Happy World Breastfeeding Week! Please share your breastfeeding stories and tips!
Hi everyone! @kimberlyyyy_the-preemie-mom here. For today's chat we're going to talk about breastfeeding and pumping in honor of World Breastfeeding Week! Both can seem complicated or stressful, but remember you have lots of support here! With my first son I had things going against us for breastfeeding.
I wish I knew back when he was younger that we could have still tried! With my second...
How come breastfeeding mommas can’t show any pride in breastfeeding without formula feeding moms taking offense and saying you’re belittling them 💁🏼♀️
Breastfeeding moms: so I am planning on going on a 3 day vacation with my hubby & a bunch of friends to Catalina in May, (my baby won't be going with us) and I do not wanna be pumping and dumping every 2 hours out there.. so if I don't pump or breastfeed for 3-4 days, will my milk supply drop significantly? 😩😩 & I don't know how I'm gonna deal with the engorgement pain if I can't find time to pump out there.
Hey girlies! I plan on breast feeding my LO as much as I can. I also plan to formula feed when needed. Have any of you moms tried organic formulas? How was it? Experience?
Are you breastfeeding or using formula ?!? I'm still debating! I was thinking formula but I know breastfeeding is the healthiest route
I personally wouldn't recommend it. almost all babies I know had bad experiences with it, the hospital gave it to my son because I didn't produce enough and he got very sick off it.
