So I need to rant about my bff and bf. She and her boyfriend moved in with us. The first two weeks they did really well. But now alm no st 2 months later, they hardly help out. We're all staying at my in laws house. In the past almost two months my boyfriemd amd I have spend almost 2000 on groceries and our funds have officially ran out. They will buy snacks and drinks for them but don't get groceries like they're supposed to. The milk is gone in less than a week. They drink the OJ that is bought for me to keep my vitamin D up, we'll get like 3 gallons of it and I barely get one glass! He doesn't work and does nothing. Granted right now I don't work, I'm the only one who was told I didn't need to get a job because of my daughter. We moved here when she was 3 days old. Now she'll be 2 months the 24th and I have to look for a job because my boyfried doesn't like working and we have to help his parents pay bills. Honestly, I don't mind working, but I don't want to start yet. Our deal, my boyfried and I, was that if he could keep a job until like June or July, then I would start working. He worked for 3 days! He quit after 2 weeks, but called in every day except those 3 days. I'm going to miss out on a lot of milestones of my daughter because of this. She's already trying to crawl, she's movi my those legs and she's trying to talk in her own little baby language. Ok rant done

It stresses and depresses him @queendavis . Since we've been together, he hasn't held a job for I'd say maybe 6 or so months at a time. I've had one job my whole life, I'm 18. I worked there for maybe 4 months bfore we moved and I ha to quit, then I fund out I was pregnant. I got 3 promotions in my first 3 weeks of working there.

I don't know @breenda21 We're living with his parents right now and neither one of us has a job. I don't want his parents buying everything for our daughter. Here ad there is fine, but diapers and wipes get expensive.

Thank you @breenda21 I just wanted to wait until she was older before I started working, but I have tp start looking now. what upsets me the mpst is that he knew I wanted to ebf for a at least 6 months and now he's like if you work now we may have to use formula and I'm nkt using formula of any sort unless something is wrong with my supply

Well will you be able to pump? You can get a free breastpump from your insurance even if it's medi cal or something like that. I don't know what to tell you about the job thing but I definitely and strongly believe that it's the mans job to work and provide for his family! If both of you just have diplomas then it's doubtful that one income will ever be enough to support your family unless one of you did some sort of training. I don't mean to sound rude but he really needs to get his shit together. He made the choice to create a life and he has to support that life whether he likes it or not. Is he young or something? Also his parents are enabling him. Yes it's doubtful they'll let their grandchild go without and that is fine but honestly they shouldn't be buying or providing anything for you guys....them doing that just tells him that it's okay for him to not work. I'm really hoping and praying for you that he will grow up and realize that he has to support his family and be a man. He has to set a good example for his child.

Also it sounds like your friends need to go find somewhere else to live! You guys have a child and enough things to worry about as it is, last thing y'all need is them piling on more stress. It's crazy to me that your boyfriends parents allow all this to go on....

I have a pump, but it isn't the best. I'll be 19 in january and he'll be 21 in march. Next fall I'm hoping to start college, but that will be difficult because college is expensive and I still have high school to finish. I missed too many days and wasn't able to graduate. And the thing with him is that he'll like the job for the first few months and the start hating it. Ither way, I told him he ha as to bring in skme sort of money because until I finish college, I won't make a whole bunch. @queendavis @mrsmoore

I'm like that with jobs to but I still stick with it because it needs to be done,and there is financial aid for school so your not paying out of pocket...

@mrsmoore, That's true, but eve in high school I was in the top 10% with a 3.8/4.0 gpa and I didn't even qualify for much

same here but when you have a child you get more then usual my school cost 21,000 and its being covered you have a dependent now so you get more

@mrsmoore, I didn't know that. @breenda21 I know, it is. And I don't know why he has such a hard time. We've taken him to a psychiatrist and she wanted tp put him on medicine and he refuses to even thnk about that opion
