💉 where the best place to ask for your IV to be placed?

You can have it somewhere other than your hand? Oh man, I hate hand IVs

idk exactly but when I was admitted yesterday they asked me hand, wrist or arm? I wasn't sure I've never been asked.... @bellahali

hand and arm both hurt about the same. for me there is never as much bruising in my hand. honestly it's just wherever they can find the best vein.

I've always done my wrist because it usually doesn't get in the way. It doesn't feel good going in though but less chance of bumping it

Last time I got an IV they put it in my arm, they put it in a spot that was actually tolerable because it wasn't really in the crease of my elbow but a little to the side where they saw the best vain. I didn't mind it
