We did baby led weaning as well. Skipped cereal altogether as its just a filler. The aap recommends nothing but formula or breastmilk until at least 6 months of age.

Pretty much same as @steph11 but she wasn't interested at 6 months so we kept trying until she was

we will not be doing cereal at all. we just started BLW no purees at 6 months.

but before I tell u about my baby. all kids are different so if you see that your baby is ready for cereal you will know because you will get signs
