What did everyone's babies weigh around 20/21 weeks? My last dr appointment / ultrasound on the 3rd when I was 21 weeks and 3 days they told me she weighed 15 ounces and that's one ounce away from a pound. All my apps say she should weigh less than that. I'm trying to figure out if that means she's big or what.
at 25 weeks they say they should be a pound and a half and 13 almost 14 inches. So we can't be 100% sure until they are here. we can only pray for the best.
then my friend gave birth to her son at 25 weeks and he was only 15.5 ounces and 11 3/4 inches long.
yeah I went in for mine at 20 weeks and 3 days and she said the baby was 10 oz and I was measuring 19 weeks and 3 days but all my apps say a 20 weeks baby should be 10.5oz sooo yeah. I was just like as long as he is growing.
And she did he same with mine @bellahali it's crazy how they can tell all these things from ultrasounds!
Yeah that's true I'm sure they aren't and a WOW 10 pounds? That's a HUGE baby. I hope she only weighs 7 or 8 @bellahali @adina565
They aren't always 100% accurate. a friend is mine was induced at 37 weeks because they told her that the baby was weighing almost 12 pounds. Well when he finally came out he was only 10 pounds.
I'm sure I'll be around there too when I'm 21-22 weeks! My doctor took pictures during the ultrasound and I saw her dragging lines over my baby on the monitor. I guess that's how she was measuring her!
Does anyone know how they can tell by an ultrasound anyways? Is it by the measurements?
Oh I'm not worried :) id rather her be big than small. I was just curious if that was big or normal. 😊
I went in 19+3 and the doctor said she is 11oz. Online said the avg weight is 8.5oz and that got me worried. But it's just the average so you can have babies that weigh less or more. If your doctor wasn't concern, then I'm sure it's fine!
How do they tell anyway? By looking at the ultrasound? I forgot to ask that. Or do they just go by charts? @xaviermom1221
