So this may be a dumb question, but there are tons of contradictions when I try to Google the information. I've always been told that after market/extra accessories for car seats are a big no-no in terms of safety and warranties. But, I still see the shoulder straps, head supports, etc. and was wondering if there are some that are deemed okay for use?

Unless it comes in the box with the carseat, it will void the warranty in the case of something going wrong with the seat in a wreck..

And this is definitely not a dumb question!! But when you get your seat just read the warranty papers and it will specify if there are any after market products you can use..

That's what I thought :) I just wanted to make sure that I'm not supposed to get any extra supports etc. Thanks ladies! :) @laurenangel__ @thebroadwaybaby16

@kmlac7, Companies are allowed to sell aftermarket products even though they aren't supposed to be used with car seats. It's so stupid. Using after market products can actually void your warranty for your seat.
