Should I be timing painless contractions? Or do I wait until they hurt?

If they do start to get painful but still not close enough to go in remember baths work wonders for helping :)

I live 5 minutes away, I called and the nurse told me to wait until 3 mins... She also told me the same thing you did, that I could be in early labor but to save time sitting in the hospital to wait it out and see if they stop or get closer @mrsschutte1323

@xaviermom1221, how far away do you live from the hospital? I only ask because I'm an hour away and was told that by 10 mins apart I should be on my way there

contractions don't have be painful for them to be real! some woman have noooo pain and go into labor hours later.

I'd go in I was having contractions and didn't know it and they were 5 mins apart I'm only 28 weeks so cautious

You can have ONLY back labor and bh and be in active labor!

Just because they arent painless does not mean they are not real!!! That is not true! Call l&d. You don't always "know" just because some people obviously know doesn't mean it's the same for everyone.

I had tons of braxton hicks, especially towards the end of my pregnancy, my doctor seemed perfectly fine with it, I just drank more water and stayed off my feet.

If they are consistent start timing. You shouldn't have more than a few bh in an hour. So id say if they are less than 10 minutes apart it could be the real thing. Good luck!

if they are painless then they aren't the real contractions lol . you will know know trust me

I never timed my painless ones, they were usually braxton hicks and I got tired of timing them. 😂
