I feel your pain. WIC is pretty awesome will help supplement food, formula, baby food, and even diapers.

That sucks. I would start signing up for all those freebies that companies have and see if there's charitable organizations that can donate what you need.

yeah @chichimango the problem is I get raped in taxes. and they all go off gross income. and get next to nothing back in taxes unfortunately.

I've been there. taxes take everything. I would start getting stuff a lil at a time when you can or budget it in. I lost my job in October so I literally am working with nothing. But I would definitely look into anything that can help you as a single mom because the tax bracket changes when the baby is born

yeah. and the more I make, the more they take in taxes. last year I lost like $13500 to taxes and got $1000 back . :( @chichimango

Wow you must have an amazing job that 13,500 gets taken out but you'll see more when you file with a child.

@chichimango, not really. they take a lot out because I claim 0 ATM. they take almost 50% for taxes. yeah, but that won't be til next next year since I'm not due til April.

Then you need to find a tax guy to ensure you get your deductions. What's the tax rate out there?

@chichimango, yeah. its just sucks. I'm not head of household, I get no tax breaks, no kids, don't go to school. and I make minimum wage+tips. and out tips get taxed like crazy.

@mylittleprincess, have you tried consignment stores? I was amazed at all the things they have at the ones in my town.
