Not wanting to get baby circumcised in the hospital when he's brand new, when did you get it done?

they usually do it like a day or two after you deliver.

they did it the next day after he was born... he cried for maybe 5 minutes and that was it.. I'd rather do it whIle they were little rather then when there older

But I don't want it done that early 😒 I'm going to refuse but I'm just wondering when I should get it done since I'm not doing it right in the hospital @kambriismommy

I recommend you do it because it is fast and easy once you wait it gets harder I waited I wish I never had

My son was done before we left the hospital. It sucks to do it so early, but they don't remember that pain and it doesn't last long from what I've been told.

yeah they say its better to get it done earlier so they don't have to worry about them jerking and moving too much.

my son was 1 and they had to put him to sleep with anesthesia that was hard for me. no mother wants to hold her child down from being scared in a dark room and putting a mask over their tiny faces

u have until baby turns 3 months before they won't do it anymore I had my sons done at 6 weeks

They usually won't do it after that amount of time unless really necessary. I don't have boys so I couldn't tell you, but it is much better to get it done earlier rather than later, obviously it's your call, some places wait a week after birth.

do it Asap. the older here gets the worst it willn hurt. and he wont remember right now

Because I was a retard and googled about it and there's a percent of infants who die when they get it done first thing.... I know I know anything can happen at anytime with any procedure buttttt it's still scaring me because I couldn't imagine sending him to get it and then coming back to tell me he didn't make it.... @Sammygirl27

Around 117 newborns a year.... That's to big of a number for me @Sammygirl27

had my son last night and circumcised this morning. He slept thru the whole procedure lol it's not bothering him, no bleeding or anything.

I would definitely recommend looking into who would be performing it when he's born or speaking with your pediatrician before you go, if you wait, to put your mind at ease.

also getting him checked for any blood disorders prior. a lot of the times the baby dies because of anemia and they never even knew he had it
