Questions about whether or not to have a baby shower. I'm due in April but there are so many holidays until then. I just feel like people are going to be broke and I don't want people to feel obligated to get something or inviting people and no one shows up. Ugh... Maybe I'll pass... 😧

That depends can you afford to have the baby shower even if it doesn't mean you get loads of gifts? If so then I would have it.. Maybe some sort of cookout or something just because it's a fun experience to have and to celebrate your LO with friends and family. Then whatever gifts you get you get. As long as you're not one of those women who acts bratty when they don't get everything from their registry I don't think it matters lol
yeah that's true but people will consider your baby if u have a shower
@oshia5starlady, I'm a realistic person. Most people pay off big expenses and bills at tax time.
yeah tax time will be around that time I am having mines in March

@mylittleprincess, I haven't decided whether or not to have one. Most of the people I know don't know I'm pregnant.
@elenasmommy, That's the whole point. I've recently hit some hard times, car/job loss and now I'm facing eviction. It has been a rough year.If I was still self sufficient I wouldn't need a shower. And since I come from a humble upbringing I'm not bratty but thankful for what little I do have.
