they wouldn't allow women to try and induce themselves at 36 weeks if the baby wouldn't be okay! god damn thats all I've been trying to say this is seriously too damn much like you all act like nobody is allowed to have an opinion and I'll be damned if anybody tells me that if I want to I'll share my opinion I'm not the type of person to back down I know that I'm right but when I don't comment you guys decide to tag in me in a comment like I was over this shit an hour ago but no you guys keep tagging me.

@mamaofangelbaby0610, I was giving an example that doctors can I fact be wrong. even all 6 of the ones you've seen in the last year. so the attitude and being rude to me was unecessary. have a great night 👍

@mamaofangelbaby0610, All I'm sayin is why risk something like that. If you don't have a medical reason to induce early then why not just wait. Yes I understand every mom gets inpatient towards the end and just wants to meet their baby, but it's soooo worth the wait.

@mamaofangelbaby0610, just because their babies were okay surly doesn't mean every baby is.

@mamaofangelbaby0610, Yes you are correct, but just because they may be able to breath on its own doesn't mean it it won't have any problems.

okay? well all I said was I've been told for the past year by 6 doctors that 37 weeks is full term nothing about cereal or anything. a baby can breath on its own at 37 weeks which is why it is considered full term.

@mamaofangelbaby0610, my best friends newborn (6 week old) hasn't been able to hold any food down in 3 weeks. the doctor told her to put MORE cereal in his formula, AND told her not to try relactating so she could breastfeed again. cereal in bottles is a huge no. everyone knows that. and everyone knows that breast is best. so why did the doctor tell her otherwise? because they're old fashioned and haven't educated them on recent scientific studies proving their old practices to be wrong.

saying.

@mamaofangelbaby0610, maybe you should look into other OB's opinions on that ? My doctor said they no longer considered 37 wks full term. Not saying thats not what you were told but maybe hearing some info from another doctor or asking just for knowledge

in my opinion, even 39 weeks can be to early sometimes. but I don't see why people would WANT to get induced just because they're uncomfortable.

your due date could be wrong, what if you're not really 37 weeks and "full term" as they call it? and you're actually 35 weeks? so being induced at "37 weeks" then your baby spends a couple weeks in the NICU. when if you had waited until at least 40 weeks woulf probably never have been in the NICU.

personally I don't think being uncomfortable is a reason to be induced before 40 weeks, it's selfish to me. unless there's a medical reason and the baby needs to come out, I feel like baby should stay in until you naturally go into labor or you pass at least 41 weeks.

37 weeks is no longer considered full term just had the talk with my doctor about this. I'd love to be able to carry my baby full term since my first was born at 29 weeks. Not sure why many moms and moms to be wouldn't want to carry their child until LO is ready.

Even though I can't wait to have my baby and be done with this pregnancy, I'm going to let the baby come on its own and go through full term. Let the buns cook all the way!

Then your doctor is extremely mistaken. Babies born at 37 weeks are at risk for so much more and just because they look healthy, doesn't mean they are. Think about how much your baby grows in two weeks.... 39 weeks is full term. They won't stop your labor after 36 weeks, but that doesn't mean you are full term. Baby still has a lot of milestones and developmental points to reach. Ps) even in the picture YOU just posted, it clearly says '39-41 weeks fare better than babies born at 37 or 38' will your baby survive at 37 weeks? Yes. But to induce for no reason is selfish and risking your babies health, do some simple research.

I honestly don't even care because I'm going to have to deliver before 37 weeks I'm just saying I was literally just told at 11:30 this morning that it's 37 weeks.

I was just told TODAY that at 37 weeks I'll be full term and in August when I found out I was pregnant I was told them by the health department that 37 weeks IS full term.

lolololololol my midwife told me 37 weeks is considered full term and that if I went into labor they wouldn't stop it. because she would be fine on her own. personally, I think people should worry more about their own pregnancy, and leave others to their own. I'd much rather listen to my midwife than others who act as if it's completely absurd to have their LO at 37 weeks. 😊

ask your OB every OB I've ever seen have said that 37 weeks is full term. I've seen at least 6 OB's since my last pregnancy.

I just don't understand how people say that 37 weeks isn't full term when it is whether their pregnancy is completely over or not at 37 weeks she is considered full term. just saying.

EVERYONE gets impatient toward the end, wishes baby would come early. Some are more impetuous than others and take action even if it may not be the best for baby. 😕 However that's your choice.

Everyone has there own opinion. I'm just sayin the best place for baby is in the womb. I can see if you're over due but dang give your baby some time. But to each their own... @mamaofangelbaby0610

OBs tell you that 37 weeks is considered full term that's why they tell you its okay to try and induce yourself using old wives tales because at 37 weeks baby can breathe on its own outside the womb.
