I don't understand why women do birth plans.... If you have a couple things your really passionate…

You pretty much just tell them how you want things while you're in labor l. They will ask questions. Lol I never made up a birth plan cause I just planned to tell them.

I'm doing one lol but I won't just be handing out pieces of paper.. I'll be going over everything with my ob. but yeah I feel like just handing out papers would be pointless, they would just throw them away lpl

A lot of doctors request that you do one. I was given one sheet to check off everything I may or may not be comfortable with and I can also add notes if I'd like. One page not pages. It's very helpful for the doctors and nurses since I most likely won't be delivering with the doctor that's followed me my entire pregnancy.

I never really cared for them, but sometimes women are seriously passionate about what they want to happen. I never had a birth plan with my first, and won't this one or for any other children I have. I just have a feeling if I make a plan, it will all go to crap and I'll be upset that it didn't go by my plan. Sometimes they can be helpful with the mother's wishes, but I don't really see them as super important especially since you can just tell them what you'd like or not like.

all am telling them is i want skin to skin,and strictly breastfeeding the rest I'll take it as it goes.

My only plan is for the doctor to keep me and my baby boy safe, and get us to recovery in one healthy, happy piece lol

😒 A birth plan doesn't have to be pages long... Mine was only a page long... My OB told me to make one...

@arianna321, I never had one because 90% of the time it doesn't go the way you planned it. Mine was "get me in there,get me the epidural and get the baby out." I mean I had details I wanted like skin to skin, and dad cuts the cord that was pretty much it. But I didn't plan on it taking 20 hours to get him out.
