Any thoughts on consuming cannabis oil or edibles? Anyone know if that's safe when ur pregnant? Random thought
I've never smoked weed nor plan to. but I thought I'd throw out there they have topicals. basically weed lotion that doesn't get absorbed into the blood but is said to work amazing with pain. just something else for you to consider @fitmama885
& yea it leaves your system in one month but everytime you go to obgyn appointments they test your pee for sugar and stuff so they could catch it then
If you're gonna use it use the oil. Smoking it is way worse because you're inhaling smoke which is cutting off oxygen flow to the baby that's really the only thing bad about weed.
Yikes! Well I smoked before I found out I was pregnant wil it be out of my system by nine months? Lol I haven't smoked since I found out
It's legal here too but I quit soon as I found out I was pregnant because they do drug test your baby when they get here and if u fail cps will be called
Oh ok Thanku for the feedback so lost on all this and I miss smoking weed ahhhh.. It's what calms me down and my anxiety and makes me feel better so ya I quit cold turkey but ahhh I want it! 😭
I smoked weed till I was about 19 weeks and finally stopped ! it took so long to stop because I didn't know that I couldn't stop ..like I was addicted ...then I started feeling guilty and stuff everytime so I finally stopped and never looked back and I just had my son 1 week ago and he's perfectly fine and healthy
Does smoking back u feel better and ur doc is ok with it? It's legal here so ya
Thanks mamas! I can't find any research saying its bad just that there's not enough evidence dang...
I personally have smoked the entire pregnancy, baby and I are healthy as can be! Unfortunately there's minimal studies to back this up. Everyone I've known to smoke some, or all of their pregnancy, them and baby have been in spectacular health. I feel it's a personal choice. Do your research and decide what's best for you and your baby
Just precautionary. My friend smoked and the Drs didn't say anything about it but I know women who did and the Dr told one of them it came back positive and she needed to quit, and they told the other who had quit a month before (when she found out she was pregnant) that if it kept coming up positive they'd have to tell somebody, and even a woman who didn't smoke at all her entire pregnancy and her test came back positive for another drug from a cold medication and cps got involved and her daughter was separated from her in the hospital.
I wish they had some sort of evidence it seems like it would be ok cuz it's natural and if u eat it it seems safer than smoking idk
That's why I wanted to know because like I throw up all day everyday and 1 time I did smoke while pregnant it calmed it but haven't done it anymore cause of. baby
Also it's totally possible it can be passed into baby more than smoking because instead of going into your lungs you're ingesting it and baby eats what you eat. Like if I eat curry, 30 minutes to an hour later and my amniotic fluid tastes like curry (very mildly of course) and she's drinking away. And the nutrients, along with other things, get passed from the placenta through the umbilical cord to baby. It's really up to you, though. You're the mommy.
I think it's safe (whereas smoking isn't) but a lot of Drs drug test without permission during pregnancy, and it shows up the same way smoking would. So I'm not sure I'd risk it. Although if your nausea is really bad it may be the only relief you get!
i still smoke. im in my third tri and im quitting enough time before i give birth for it not to be in my system. personally i have found it does not effect the baby (friends baby was born compleatly healthy and happy and smoked the whole time including right before labor) it really helps if ur to nauseous to eat or hurt to much to sleep. but just dont sit there and smoke an ounce at a time just because. hell i had this yummy cupcake edibal last night and i slept so well.
