i have the Medela pump in style backpack version. it is the best thing since sliced bread!

we paid 269.99 for it. What insurance do you have? some insurances cover them. (Medicaid does not, thats why we had to cover ours)

any medela pump is awesome. it really just depends on what you need. are you pumping full time? going back to work? occasionally? combo of pump and breast feeding? they have cheaper options that don't have all the bells and whistles but they do the exact same thing!

Are you eligible for WIC? I have NC Medicaid until my new job insurance kicks in, and WIC covers a medela instyle after my baby is born. Check before you buy😊

You can get a free pump 3 ways. 1. From your hospital 2. From your insurance and 3 from wic. All have very good hospital grade pumps, either the Ameda or medela brand.

@kparavalos, I have pregnancy Medicaid so I'm not sure what they cover and every time I try to get in contact with them I never get answers. And I plan on pumping full time and sending my milk to Atlanta where she will be in the NICU (I'll be in Athens). I don't plan on going back to work until she's out of the hospital, which I still can I just don't want to.

@dymond, @sexxymama83 I would rather buy one simply for my piece of mind. I do plan on using a hospital provided pump before opening one I buy though. Just in case I can't breast feed for some reason I will still be able to return my unopened pump.

Pregnancy medicaid does not cover a pump in the state of FL. not sure where tou reside but you can check with yours :)
