It could be that you're a little paranoid since you're a first time mommy. My daughter gets the hiccups a lot and at first I would freak out cause I had no idea what she was doing. But ask your doctor anyway if you're really concerned

my baby does the same. he said its because they're running out of room

I cried in worry to my dr. Asking her if my baby was having seizures my last pregnancy she could tell I was extremely worried something was wrong with its development and she reassured me that's it highly unlikely that's what's going on. their nerves and stuff are still developing so they twitch alot and make sudden jerry movements. plus when their born you will notice their arms flail out and their chin will quiver and shake... I believe it's just a nerve thing

@rookiemom, yeah but it's random not every day stuff. it just happens at random. I know his hiccups cause he gets those daily

I've felt that, but I couldn't tell you exactly what it is. My doctor did give me an explanation similar to the one @akelly16 received.

Your Dr would have told you if something like that was obvious to them, they can see a lot of problems on the ultrasound.

@tahtahme, my Dr hasn't done an ultrasound since he picked me up as a patient. he's odd like that. and I haven't gone to see him since they started because he was out of town and I have no emergency contact number

don't worry. baby is just trying to make room in their every shrinking home. it's totally normal and baby is probably just trying to get you to change positions or walk a bit so they can get comfy :)

You are really far along to have had only 1 ultrasound....but if worse comes to worse you should call the office and demand to be seen by someone in there. If youre really worried, go to the er with your insurance, but if not call them first thing tomorrow and ask to be seen by someone else at the office!

@tahtahme, he picked me up as a patient at 22 weeks. I was military before and got out. he picked me up as a patient because I finally came home for good. the veteran hospital doesn't have a labor and delivery wing

Wow im surprised the veterans hospital doesn't! Yeah you should call tomorrow if youre concerned, but your baby could just be active!
