My doctor mentioned stripping my membranes tomorrow. I've heard mixed "reviews". How is it really? Feel free to message me if anyone feels it's "too graphic". I just need to ease my mind.

And I didn't really bleed until way later that night when I went into labor and delivery and got checked and was 4 cm dilated, my ob said it was the bloody show

I did it. Wasn't bad. I went into labor two hours later. It only works if your body is ready.

I got my membranes stripped and I went into labor that night and I had no signs of labor being near before that.

Thank you ladies! I think I may opt out!! Everytime I've had my cervix checked I bleed so I'd rather not! @shadequeen @pregnant.midwife2016 @datnavajogirl @avas_mommy

it's really a 50/50 chance of going into labour or not. personally it's not worth the uncomfortable/painful feelings but I have done it for some patients both with success and without. it's up to you and the way your cervix looks when your Dr checks you.

I don't think you should do it, Google the truth about stripping membranes
