how much blood is considered more than spotting?

i went to labor and delivery last night and i was diagnosed with cramps, not contractions, they checked to see if i was dilated and say i was a fingertip and now i might spot for a couple days because they checked me. now everytime i wipe i have alot of bright red blood on the tp its not just a streak its like a glob...i wore a pad all night and didnt get anything on it tho?
